We Purchased and Tested Webshare Ourselves

A proxy provider can advertise a large IP pool and high success rates, but the most important question is how the proxies perform in a real test.

That is why we purchased and tested Webshare residential proxies ourselves rather than relying only on the company’s published specifications.

We ran a 1,000-request benchmark through Webshare’s rotating residential proxy network and recorded successful requests, failed requests, response times, and returned IP addresses.

Webshare completed 986 of 1,000 requests successfully, resulting in a 98.60% success rate. The average response time was 2.39 seconds, while the fastest response was 1.44 seconds and the slowest was 4.41 seconds.

The test also returned different IP addresses throughout the run, confirming that the rotating proxy connection was active.

Test #1: Webshare 1,000-Request Success Rate

We sent 1,000 requests through Webshare’s rotating residential proxies and recorded every successful and failed request.

  • Successful: 986 / 1,000
  • Failed: 14 / 1,000
  • Success Rate: 98.60%
  • Failure Rate: 1.40%
  • For residential proxies, a success rate above 95% is generally considered excellent. Webshare achieved a strong 98.60% success rate in our test, showing reliable performance for most public web scraping, SEO research, and market-research tasks.

    Webshare Dashboard & Setup Experience

Webshare has a clean, beginner-friendly dashboard that separates its products into Proxy Server, Static Residential, and Rotating Residential plans. In our account, the active rotating residential plan displayed the included bandwidth, available IP pool, and quick links to setup guides.

The dashboard also includes guides for Chrome, Firefox, Telegram, WhatsApp, TikTok, Android, GoLogin, MoreLogin, iPhone, and Windows. This is useful for users who do not want to configure proxies only through code.
